I had a really nice day today

Decided last week to book

the day off, and see if I could test ride some bikes

I've had

a settlement on my personal injury claim (at long bloody last) and a new bike

is on the cards

Have been scouring ebay to see what's about

but there's far too much choice so I needed to whittle the choices down a

bit

Been watching gsxr's, ninja's, the odd R1 or two, a

Ducati, a Suzuki TL and the V-Strom

Managed to get out on a Suzuki TL1000S

Nice bike, loads

of grunt, lots of engine braking, not keen on red, but only one they had in,

and managed to get a ride of it

Wow! did it go, I thought Jo's

srad was quick but f**k me, this was awesome

Decided it was a bit

too quick, don't want to lose my licence lol

Got ignored in the next shop, no choice in the next, so went to

Ipswich

First one I go in, there's another TL, but this is a

TL1000R - quite a few differences, as you can see, but I've been told

they are different to ride, and the rear is dangerous in the wet with a

standard shock - first mod is Ohlins shock and steering damper

The

day I go out on it, it's bloody spitting with rain, so I have to take it

easy, but f*****g hell, it's just as quick as the S, took it out of town

along an Aroad I know, and my god does it shift, 120mph easily, even got up to

135 at one point  

And the best bit is the colour  



Aftermarket cans but standard shock, other than that my

heart was saying 'go to the bank', but I managed to walk out without

buying it

So, on to another shop

Saw a nice ZX9Rin green, so took

that out

Again, really quick compared to srad, but with a standard

exhaust, didn't sound nice at all compared to the TLR - twin Beowulf

cans)

Very nice bike, but high mileage

Then the guy suggested a Honda VTR1000 Firestorm

and didn't go far (plus wanted to call at a couple more shops)and forgot

to take a pic, but it was like this one on ebay

Sucky weather but nice choice of

bikes I must add
I've had my eyes on both the tl1000s and the vtr

firestorm when I was looking to buy years ago

why did you buy a bandit if you wanted a TL

Did you not read the other thread G - the other Bandit is for spare

parts for mine

rear shock, front tyre, exhaust downpipes etc

I do want a TL, or maybe

a V-Strom, tho I've yet to ride one, but I showed Jo the pics of the

yellow TL and she said I could get it  



So I'm seriously thinking bout buying it now, instead

of waiting a few months to get a new bike (was gonna clear debts first, then

sell 2nd Bandit and GPZ and put money towards a bike, may do it the other way

round tho hehe)
