/>

/>..so the day will pass quickly for you then

This

sunday prob fix my brother's pc, although I also might fix the fence.

/>We've been discussing our fence and might consider to take it down in a

couple of years and built a wall with a big door in it so the bike can go to

the backyard and the cats wont be able to get out :)

/>Have you got wooden or concrete posts C?

If they are concrete you

could slide the panel out when you need to move the bike, if they're

wooden, with a little extra strength and some hinges, you could convert one of

the panels (maybe the broken one) into gates, for the bike

/>

I'm afraid the previous owner made the fence

cheapest as poss and in one piece :/
I might get some money from

insurance, have to look that up, and hopefully it will be enough for some

major improvements

I

made my own panels for about half the price of buying them

Takes

longer but more satisfying knowing I made them

But I couldn't

be bothered to make a mould to make the posts, so I bought them

/>Then it was done as and when I could afford it over a period of weeks, but

luckily I didn't have to worry too much bout security at the time, you

may not have the luxury of the garden being open

But I'm sure

you could do a bit at a time, as long as you make good on the gap each time

Sounds like its close boarded fencing

Posts every six foot or so,

with horizontal rails (arris rails) with featheredge boards nailed in an

overlapping style, creating a solid, never ending fence

Arris rails? :upset: Whatever, that is the way i'd like to make it some

day.
But it is a looong back garden, so I'll need a lot of

wood...some day I'll get inspiration and start.

Looks like this, dimensions aren't quite right but you get the idea from

the shape
