COLD out!
« on: February 06, 2007, 10:17:23 AM »
I

already thought it was cold but when I came to the highway there was actually

snow and stuff :(

of course a car behind me thought it necessary to

hang only a few meters back so I gave him an angry wave... No without the

finger!

I did 70 km/h max on the highway -> sticking to the

rightmost lane with a lot of distance to the car in front... going off the

highway wasn't fun either since there was snowy goo on the off-ramp...

made it though!

update: it's been snowing for almost an hour... I think traffic is

already starting to block up here in Holland... which is a good thing since I

wanted to bike back home... if the cars are going slow I'll go slow with

them :D

very

very cold minus 5 this morning but no ice or snow just a heavy frost...anyway

so cold I went and bought some bar muffs.  Should be nice and toasty

tomorrow.

we have some snow forecast in the next few days,

hopefully it will hold off until the weekend.

roads were reasonably clear in zoetermeer as well.. unfortunately my bike

quit on me at the second traffic lights :(
I pushed it back to work for

about 1 km (well it seemed like one anyway) because it would start snowing

again and I didn't want to wait for the autoclub :(

took the

train home instead.. I'm taking the car tomorrow!
I was kinda glad

when I got home because here the roads were not very clear and it had snowed

some more :(

I hope it's just the carbs frozen over...

I'll wait untill better weather and try a jumpstart (I started the

battery flat  :headbang: ) and see if it runs then else I have a problem :(

Can't you charge your battery at work?

It is beeeuatiful weather, what are you talking about.
I thought you

bought a charger last year, I gave a tip about Lidl, and anyway, they cost

next to nothing nowadays :upset:

You can do it the easy way too, you know.
Hook it up to your car battery

for maybe half an hour (car parked/stopped/not/running), it'll get

charged enough so you won't have to push it!

you'd leave it like that for half an hour.. hmm..

I usually

hook it up and start it  :schilder034:

ok I'll do it like

that... but only once the weather is a bit better again!
That's the

way to get it home... and then I'll start thinking about a charger :D

/>
haha. -> that optimate III looks nice though! it even has a

connector so you can attach a permanent cable (water tight connection) to your

battery and hook it up more easily to the charger!

I wish you success, I went biking to work and wait how bad it'll get.

My bike can overnight here.. it's below a roof...

the only

thing that's not so nice is that they didn't close the gate last

night because it had frozen :(

If I had known that I would have put

my bike in the cycle shed instead of leaving it in the motorbike parking...

/>oh well it's not visible from the street anyway

I'm leaving for home, the shop is almost empty of customers, and the

manager is almost kicking everybody out who doesn't live in the

vicinity....
