This may not be too usefull, but a few years back
Greybike magazine featured a CBR750, that one of the magazine writers had
bought. They mentioned that by using Gear driven cams Honda had cured the
rattling camchain problems. However they had introduced another rattley chain
problem, namely the alternator chain. They explained that it was the tensioner
at fault and that Honda had modified it. This maybe the problem you have, as
it rattles at tickover and goes when the revs pickup. As i say, this may be of
no help at all.
