A stainless pipe certainly is worth its weight in gold, I had one made for my 1000 well before the millennium changed, at first I thought it was quite expensive, but it turned out to be about the same price as the original Honda header system made of just mild steel! I gave the guy a rotten ori one to copy and still am using the result! Nowadays there are plenty stainless pipes to be found for the cbr1000f, maybe a firm like Delkevic, in the UK, have something for the 750 too, they are quite famous here in Holland....
As for the synchronising, there are only three crossheaded screws, situated between head and carbs, and the hoses connect on top of the carbs, also near the head. If you weren't so far away you could borrow my gauges, but alas....
You balance the carbs in pairs, the left two and the right two, and then sync the pairs, it's really not that hard

As to the sucking of the carbs, it is the engine side of the carbs. As to taking is fuel, that should not happen.

Did you go for the pipe I put the link to, as I noticed they were sold a couple of days latter. I have just brought a full Micon system form a shop that is closing down and doing a clear out. He found them down in the cellar. The paper work in the box is dated 1995.  I just had to have it as it was so cheap £180.  There is a chap selling just the can on eBay for £350 plus shipping! When I get my bike back in the summer ( a friend is borrowing it), I will get it fitted.

Been out for a short and steady test run.
Got my forks back after getting the seals replaced, I've had a bit of time this week to work on her, so ive been busy away patiently rebuilding with minimal breakage.
Although I did drop her the second I rolled her out the garage
 
Few scratches but nothing broke
Was good to have her moving again, it's been a while.

Looks good, a few scratches only show the bike is being used.
It's a pity the summer doesn't really want to show her face, over here it has rained, is raining or is going to rain every day of the week....

Although it was only 15/20mins for a shake down, it was good to have her cruzin again.
Alot smoother than I remember or expected
And sounds great considering the exhaust is holyer than the baby Jesus.
Definatly in the market for a new exhaust now.

Yea you dont see to many now with the one piece light unit. I love mine, I'm always concerned I'm going to catch It on somthing.
Think alot in the uk got changed due to MOT reasons

Sometimes I miss my bikes but I wouldn't even know when to ride or how to finance a new bike... Also Mrs is pretty happy I don't ride anymore

What about getting a cheap 125cc to take the edge off.
Just somthing to blast about on and tinker with.
My girlfriends son got a rieju tango 50cc.
I tuned it a bit , and its alot of fun to play around on.
Wont break the bank and should be a compromise with the wife😊

Well I don't tinker and my main rides were to/from work which involves some highway. Besides city rides were never my favorite, the dikes in the Netherlands were much more fun. I think we did the IJsseldijk once didn't we Rob?
