Emissionrules in europe I think? Many new bikes run with lower power due to emissionrestrictions, and every couple years that gets worse.
Would it also be possible that they focus on 'verbruik' instead on hp? I mean, how many hp does one actually need. 'Verbruik' on the mt07 is only 1:22 while the torqueiness is aggressive as hell.  :dontknow:

You are correct, its a 4inline, which was along with the price and less fun-factor the reason that I chose the mt07 over the cb650r  gasdrop

Oopsy I made a typo, I meant a cb650r, a retro looking bike, not the cbR650r ^^

Thanks G ^^ I am losing interest in biking some years more then others so I can relate. This bike makes me wanna pick up riding again so thats the main cause for buying it :)

Rob, Anita agrees with you on the brand!! She wanted me to buy a CBR650R but i need a bike a bit more sporty looking and never rode a twin before apart from a shadow vt600. Testride felt awesome so guessing ill love it ^^

All Technical Issues / Derestricting (copied from the old website)
« on: June 02, 2019, 16:54:58 PM »
The restrictor is fitted within the speedometer, after removal of the speedometer cover you will find a thin circular disc which is driven by a magnetic field produced when the cable drive turns. (the faster the drive rotates the further round the disc moves.) On the disc are 2 high spots, the first causes the red light to come on at 95kph when it passes between a small circuit board. As speed is increased the second high spot comes into a position between what looks like two transistors, that is the speed regulator. All you need to do is to slice this second high spot off the disc as cleanly as possible keeping the uniform circular shape of the disc. The disc is very thin so it can be done with a pair of sharp scissors - taking care not to distort the disc or leave any burrs on the edge - the speedo can then be re-assembled and your 'Hurricane' is up to full power.</p>

The de-restricting info above was sent to me by Jeremy, thanx again buddy.

All Technical Issues / Dynojet-run (copied from the old website)
« on: June 02, 2019, 16:19:48 PM »
Although a bit blurred , this is the result of a dynojet run with my  bike. I had it done at a 'motoport' in lelystad.Since there are no  technical details in the bike shops or on the net on the CBR 750  Hurricane , this was very illuminating to me because I finally learnt  what its max speed was :) ps. The speedometer on my bike doesn't go beyond 180 km so I had no idea  how fast I was going top , that is , untill this run.
