Photo of (you (and) or) your bike :) / She is back.

Got the bike back after my mate borrowed it for a year, but he did barely 100 miles on it. He did mange to get a new mirror for it, so that's a plus.  I still have to sort the lacquer out, but not to bothered. I brought a Hot Cam Carbon can that was for a VFR800 Fi some time back, and have now fitted it to day.  Very light. I had to make a bracket and cut and re-weld the the connecting tube so the can would miss the swing arm. Thought I would add some pictures of it, but will not let me. Will try later.

Buying and Selling / What to do
« on: June 16, 2021, 15:09:18 PM »
Got my Hurricane back a few weeks back and insured it straight away and went for a 30+ mile ride to get back in the swing. MOT today and sailed through. Now what to do. Do I keep it, or sell it, as I have to many bikes on the road. 2 is great, but 3 is meaning that they don't get the use they deserve. A good time of year to sell, but I don't thing they get the price they deserve, especially with the low mileage this one has, and garaged all the 20 years I have had it.

Lock down it giving some to much time on there hands. I thought I would share my street view, which has me cleaning my bike a few years ago. I am surprised it is still there, as many streets have been updated of late. It is only that others have put there street view on other forums.

Hi, is there any way of changing the background on the pages? I find having white writing on a dark blue back ground a pain. I would prefer a white background with black print.

Well after having the bike half dismantled for 4 years, it is having a good going over. One of the fork seals was leaking very badly and the float bowls was leak now and then. I come across a very low mileage (13.000) silver VTR1000 just up the road from me 4 years ago, so that was the toy for a will. Made my own exhaust for it and a brought a new Pyramid belly pan and looks a treat. I than come a cross a 12,500 mileage VFR800 vtec. And as I had a VF750 for 9 years I just had to have it for the V4 sound. I did quit a lot of work on it including make my own exhaust from the cat on. I have managed to get 28 pound of the bike, and is a sweat ride. In the process of making the modification, I have made parts to sell on eBay, which sell very well. Back to the CBR750. I have not had good health for 30 years, so getting on with it was slow to say the least. Well I had an operation in late January, and now am a new man ( though I am sure it will only lass a few months). I did manage the get the fork seals done last year. But in the lass 3 weeks it has been taken down that just a rolling chassis. Rear sub frame resprayed, exhaust welded were there was a couple of pin holes, and now repainted. The hole bike has has a tooth brush clean. All the Ally foot pegs polished along with the exhaust can. Most of the plastic is not on yet and still in the loft, but I though I would upload some pictures of the bike. I was hoping to have it on the road in a few weeks, but thing are looking very bleak in the would and in the UK, and not permitted to go out riding. The only thing I need is  left hand mirror. I did buy one in 2001 one for it, but broke it the day after fitting it. smile1004mad It is the only mirror I have ever broken.
