Makes a nice change to get some sun although the CBR has run great through winter. 44k miles clocked up now so just run in.

All Technical Issues / Re: Forks seals

So far the new seals are good, i think the last set although not used had hardened with age so didnt last long.
I find i dont need air in the forks as i weigh less than 64kgs. Bike handles really well and never complains even when ridden hard.

Always use Castrol fork oil Rob so quality should be good, i have changed seals on other bikes with this and always lasted well.

Bike failed MOT on forks seals yet again, not just misting but dripping down the fork leg,its only had the last ones replaced 12 months ago (1500miles) Anyone else had this or is it just a one off?  The last seals were nos so perhaps had hardened with age but sorted now so hopefully another 12 months of riding this great bike.

Next step would be to check earth leads, it could be a non tight or corroded connection that is getting warm when running and losing connection and cooling quickly when stopped.

The weathers getting better but still had the heated grips on 40%.  A ride out in the Yorkshire Dales, Phenygent in the distance.

Unusual silver engine, its looks a comfy riding position with the higher bars, what mod did you use to raise them?

Sounds like fuel starvation for the cutting out or long shot but side stand switches have been known to give similar symptoms due to worn teminals getting hot and breaking contact then ok when cooling down.
Had a similar problem with the starting on mine missing on one cylinder when cold and generally lumpy on low down revs, i took carbs of and they looked fine so just took pilot jets out and gave a blow through but problem remained so i repeated the job but gave jets a thorough clean in an ultrasonic cleaner and blow through with compressed air and hey presto runs spot on.
