Title: new introduction
Post by: gjkatsman on August 25, 2019, 09:26:13 AM
Hello,

To you all CBR 750 fanatics. I'm new on this forum. Didn't know about the existant, but found it by "accident" while looking for parts of my new project.

short about my self, age 54, male, from the Netherlands and fanatic amatur mechanic on forgotten motorcycles (barn finds etc)

My recently purchased project (1987 cbr 750f hurricane) was standing in the corner of a garden for at least several years. My goal is not to part it out, but get it running on the roads again.

That means a lot of cleaning, changing of all the fluids/filters. But that is no problem, i have the time and space to do so.

Welcome, where in the Netherlands are you situated, if I may be so free to ask?
And yes, that usually means a lot of work, I recently got a CBR1000F with the same background, and everything was corroded together, from the fuelpump, brakemaster AND calipers, clutch master and slavecylinder, to all gauges on the dashboard, wheelbearings, and the worst were the carbs....
