Bikers Cafe / Re: Super Blackbird was sold at $1700 in Japan

Hi Mr. W, nice to hear from you!
And what did he do with his old 400? I know for sure I could fix it!
My CB400 is now 44 years old, and for just 2 weeks I had to wait for a CB750 who couldn't keep up with me on the little 400, it keeps getting faster and stronger smile1004yesh
He traded it for a discount. He was riding it daily for at least 20 (possibly closer to 30) years and mostly weekly at least for the last few...

There's the retro bikes Rob... my father in law just got a CB300 because his 400 that was over 30 years old was really beyond decent repair... (oil channels were plugged I think) and he wanted something he could still lift and put in the basement cycle box....

If it hadn't been restricted it would have been far more succesful, if I had to chose between a V4 and a straight 4 I'go straight every time, well, in fact I did.
Have several friends owning VFR1000's and they are a nightmare to service.

Restriction was because it was Japanese market only and had to be legal there. If you had to choose between a 750 and 1000 what would you choose then?
I think Honda figured most people would go for the Thou... except in Japan where they would be near impossible to insure.
