Happy New Year everyone! May your days be sunny (or dry at least) and your roads full of bends!

Bikers Cafe / New bike advice please!!!
« on: September 05, 2014, 11:27:56 AM »
Okay... the itch is still here...  smilebikebigrace

As you may / may not know I don't have a bike at the moment. However I should be getting some money that is tied up right now but if and when it comes free a new bike is an option. My previous bikes (The CBR750 Hurricane and the XZ 550 were both 2nd hand and not too expensive [5000 guilders ~2500 for the CBR and 750 for the XZ]).

Now being older, having no kids, having a good job I got a bit more to spend (if those stocks where my money is in don't bottom out  :schilder034: ). I also need a new outfit and helmets for me and the mrs but that leaves up to 8000 for a bike (hopefully).

I would like some advice on what. I have been looking at new bikes but am open to 2nd hand as well. I would like to have a ABS system bike (safety is nice). and not too old. On the one hand new bikes lose so much value when you drive out the door, on the other hand 2nd hand ones are still quite expensive.

I compared some new bikes already:
NC750S ABS
CB650F ABS
ER-6f   XJ6
Diversion ABS
MT-07 ABS
Fazer8 ABS
Bandit 650 SA
Diversion F ABS

but I would like your opinion on new vs 2nd hand and which bike.

It's soooo hard I really never had a Suzuki, they always looked a bit cheap and I never trusted that but on the other hand... they are cheaper.
I like the look of the Bandit and the V-strom both.
I don't need a super powerful super speedy bike. I want something that's comfortable and that handles nice (I am a bit of a chicken).
I would like ABS on my future bike.

Anyway... all feedback is appreciated!

Just not riding a lot...

Hi guys... 5 pages of unread post was a bit too much. So from what I did see:

Congrats on your new bike C (2x).
Have fun with your new faster gizmo on your baby bike Rob  :schilder034:

Nice to see you guys are still going strong. Sorry I haven't been around a lot but I have been spending most of my tanks on other things :)

sorry guys I am really inactive on this forum. Just not the heart for it. I do check up every now and then but even then I am not going through the jokes / humour cafe's.

Hope you guys and galls are all fine and having fun. I am having fun but it just doesn't have anything to do with bikes ;)  smile1004euhrr

This is the transcript of a radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995. Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10-10-95.
Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a Collision.
Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the United States' Atlantic fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers and numerous support vessels. I demand that YOU change your course 15 degrees north, that's one five degrees north, or countermeasures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.
Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call

I know it's an oldy... still...

Bikers Cafe / Vianen
« on: October 03, 2011, 06:48:38 AM »
I was away this weekend :D Nice time in Vianen... then yesterday to Den Bosch... I found a few pieces of highway (A2 and A16) where it's legal to drive 130 km/h instead of the normal 120 (or the more common 100 and 80)... great isn't it :D

Humour Cafe / Women...

Should I start by claiming all items posted in this topic are pure for humor purposes and in no way reflect how the male population of the forum actually thinks about women?...

Nah let's just kick off:

5 DEADLY TERMS USED BY A WOMAN!!! (1) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when she knows she is RIGHT & YOU need to SHUT UP. (2) NOTHING: means SOMETHING & you need to be worried(3) GO AHEAD: this is a dare, not permission , DO NOT DO IT. (4) WHATEVER: A woman's way of saying SCREW YOU. (5) THAT'S OK: She is thinking long & hard on HOW & WHEN you will pay for your mistake.
