I am still here too... I check in once or twice a year... *sigh* I don't ride anymore though. Welcome back shane. Good to see Rob is still active :D

If it hadn't been restricted it would have been far more succesful, if I had to chose between a V4 and a straight 4 I'go straight every time, well, in fact I did.
Have several friends owning VFR1000's and they are a nightmare to service.

Restriction was because it was Japanese market only and had to be legal there. If you had to choose between a 750 and 1000 what would you choose then?
I think Honda figured most people would go for the Thou... except in Japan where they would be near impossible to insure.

lol I forgot too Rob

The idea that I had in my head when I still had mine was a midnight blue bike with a lightning bolt pattern (not a zig zag but really a ball of lightning trailing back) from front to back... I still think that would look epic :)

It was a wonderful bike. It lost to the VFR because the Japanese police opted VFR. Outside Japan the 1000's were more interesting which is why it was never exported officially (choice between the 600 and thou was sufficient).

Nice article though. Thanks for sharing.

Questions and remarks about the Site or Forum / Re: jr member ?

I would expect a normal level member between jr, and senior but on most fora I know that rank is indeed based on the number of posts... Please don't put in 100 bullshit posts just to get rid of the status though... Rather ask Crusher to modify it if it really bothers you.

1k is too much for that bike I think. Even if the 40k km's are real it's an old bike with very non-standard parts which will scream replace me!!!  and I don't think C still has any parts left.

It does look very clean on these pictures... the tires will need some attention though (for starters).

Bikes are very very far back on my list at the moment... just not willing to spend the money on it :(
4 more days until the national lottery.... if I win the jackpot I'll probably get a bike again.... otherwise I will keep on saving for other things ;)
